Camping Recipe: Beer-Battered Fish Filets

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb per person of Fish Fillets
  • 1 Cup of Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • ¾ Cup of Beer
  • 1 Cup of Flour
  • ¼ Cup of Cooking Oil

Instructions:

  1. Clean and dry your fish fillets. Dredge them in the flour until there is an even coating on all sides.
  2. Mix the pancake mix and about ¾ cup of beer. Mix with a fork until the batter is smooth. 
  3. Dip the fish fillets in the batter, ensuring you coat them evenly.
  4. Heat the oil over med-high heat and cook fillets until they are golden brown. 
  5. Once cooked through, remove them from the heat and allow them to drain on a paper towel. 
  6. Sprinkle seasonings like dill or lemon juice to taste, and enjoy!
